When my elderly mother’s flight from MCI to FLL was diverted to Orlando due to bad weather, I was extremely worried. My mother speaks only Spanish, is hard of hearing, and requires a wheelchair—so the unexpected diversion was especially concerning. That worry quickly turned to relief thanks to Jenna, my mother’s Flight Attendant. Jenna went above and beyond to make sure my mother was safe and cared for. She even took the time to text me personally to let me know my mom was doing well. Jenna found a Spanish-speaking Passenger to explain the situation to my mother in her own language, easing her confusion and fear. She also gave up her own dinner to make sure my mom had something to eat. Jenna’s compassion, thoughtfulness, and genuine care meant the world to our family. She is truly a Flight Attendant with Heart—and the very best of Southwest.
